The Terms of Reference of the Committee are:
To study and follow up on the general
policy for the cultural development of women and propose ways, means and programs
to promote it at all levels.
To propose and organize symposia and discussion panels
aimed at raising the awareness of society of the important cultural role women
can play.
To examine and study issues referred to it by NCW President

Activities of the Committee:
The activities of the Culture Committee during 2007 included:
Organizing a cultural salon in which the eminent writer
Sanaa Al-Beisi addressed the audience about her experience in the sphere
of writing.
Organizing a symposium entitled "Women's Image in Literature"
in which literary women such as Amina Zidan, Sahar Al-Moggi and Critic Dr.
Sahar Sobhi Abdel-Hakim were invited to address the participants.
Preparing a policy paper entitled " the Cultural Manifestation
of Discrimination against Women and the Specific Policies to Confront it",
which was reviewed by the Committee.
