The Governorates Committee
 

 

The Terms of Reference of the Committee are:

  • To pursue proposing policies and programs that will lead to enhancing the work and activities of NCW Branches, and contribute to achieving the Council's goals.

  • To review the work plans of NCW branches to ensure that they are in conformity with the Council's objectives.

  • To follow up and evaluate the work and activities of NCW branches in the framework of the Council's mandate.

  • To examine and study issues referred to it by NCW President.

    Activities of the Committee:

    The activities of the Governorates Committee during 2007 included:

  • Participating in a discussion session during which the Head of the General Organization for Adult Education & Literacy made a presentation on the policies and measures taken to confront the challenges of illiteracy.
  • Discussing the proposed theme to be adopted for next NCW Eighth Conference scheduled for March 2008, and preparing a working paper entitled "Women in Leadership Positions'.
