The Terms of Reference of the Committee are:
To study, assess and follow up on the public policy
in the area of women's health and population policies.
To propose and organize symposia and discussion
panels aiming at raising the awareness of society of women's important
role within the Committee's scope of work.
To examine and study issues referred to it by NCW
President.

Activities of the Committee
The activities of the Health & Population Committee
during 2007 included:
Participating with the Environment and Media
Committees in formulating a media strategy on combating the avian flu.
Following up on the National Programs for the Early
Detection of Breast Tumors, as part of the Committee’s program.
Liaising with the Director of the Suzanne Mubarak
Regional Center for Women's Health and Development to enhance the
services provided to women through this Center.
