The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is chaired
by the Secretary General and includes a number of
no less than four members selected by the President
of the Council. The term of the membership is three
years, subject to renewal.
The Executive Committee is composed of: |

The Executive Committee has the following
authorities: |
1. To follow-up the final reports of the Standing
Committees, the Conferences of the Council and the
Branches.
2. To take decisions regarding urgent administrative
and financial matters between the dates of the regular
meetings.
3. To formulate their opinion about the grants and
donations offered to the Council or to the Branches
and other bodies in the governorates, prior to submission
to the President of the Council.
4 . To study the subjects referred by the Board of
the Council or its President. The Committee is entitled
to entrust the Secretary General with some of these
functions.
Decisions adopted by the Executive
Committee are submitted to the Board of the Council
in its following meeting. In case these decisions
are not submitted or approved, they become void provided
there is no conflict with clause (2) of Article 9
in the by-laws.
The Secretary General
invites the Executive Committee to meet at least once
per month. The meeting quorum is attained by a simple
majority and decisions shall be adopted by a majority
vote of the members present in the meeting. Should
there be a tie vote, the Secretary General's vote
shall break the tie.
