The General National Conference
The General National Conference shall consist of all
members compatible with the provisions of Article
37 of the Council's By-laws, including the Council's
members, the members of the standing committees and
the members of the branches of the Council in governorates.
The Conference shall be chaired by the President of
the Council or by the Secretary General in case of
absence of the President.
The National Conference shall have
the following functions: |
1. Express opinions about the general
policy for the enhancement of women status.
2. Express opinions about the plans for the empowerment
of women and solving their problems.
3. Monitor the implementation of the plans for the
empowerment of women.
4. Raise women's awareness about their rights and
duties and encourage them to practice them.
The Secretary General shall be authorized
to establish sub-committees of the National Conferences
with specific tasks and entrust any member of the
Conference with responsibilities related to the empowerment
of women.
