Identity Cards for Egyptian Women

An ID is essential to the empowerment of women. A birth certificate is needed for the issuance of an ID. NCW, in collaboration with the Governors, are working towards ensuring that every Egyptian woman is issued an ID. Large numbers of IDs have already been issued in all the governorates of Egypt.

In view of the excellent results so far achieved, financial support to this initiative has been extended by some donors to the Governorates of Fayoum and Minia.
