On the occasion of its 9th Annual Conference, the National Council for Women convenes its First International Conference, under the theme
“Women Leadership and Social Justice : Sharing Experiences”. The Conference will be held in Cairo on 14, 15 and 16 March 2009.

It will provide a valuable forum for informative debate and discussion of women in leadership, within the framework of social justice.

The overarching conference goal is to showcase the value of women in leadership, and its effectiveness on promoting concepts of justice and true democracy.

The result anticipated as an outcome of the conference is an increased recognition of the importance of women leadership on development.
